Where It Began

The Wheaton Academy Student Server Project was originally started by a small group of students who wanted to start a gaming server, but our goals evolved into something much greater. We have now set out to gather a massive collection of resources to function as a fully student-run system for “technologists” to gain hands-on experience in the field of computer technology.

What We’ve Accomplished

So far, we have more than 18 students and have acquired nearly $40,000 worth of enterprise-level equipment donated from multiple tech companies. We have setup firewalls, VPNs, web servers, industrial virtualization technology, and have plans to do much more.
